In 2007, Gil returned to Miami to set up a home-based production company, 305 Films, alongside seasoned Producer Judd Allison. In 2002, Source Magazine honored Gil for Video of the Year, he has been nominated for Director of the Year for the 2008, 2009, and 2010 BET Awards and won the 2008 MTV Video Music Award for Best Hip Hop video for his direction in Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop.” Gil continues to raise social consciousness around him through his leadership in the community.
